Although League of Legends is not the Esport with the largest prize pools, it is one of the most popular titles out there. Consequently, there are tons of players and teams that compete in various competitions.

It comes as no surprise that some of the top League of Legends players have won a lot of money. Certain countries, such as South Korea, dominate the game, but there are other places that also have top-tier players. It is interesting to learn more about all of them, so let’s dive deep and see the numbers.

    Contents

    • 1 South Korea – Faker – $1.8M
    • 2 China – JackeyLove – $883K
    • 3 Denmark – Caps – $704K
    • 4 Croatia – PerkZ – $585K
    • 5 Taiwan – Karsa – $575K
    • 6 Poland – Jankos – $519K
    • 7 Sweden – Rekkles – $460K
    • 8 Conclusion

    South Korea – Faker – $1.8M

There are a lot of legendary LoL players, but we can all agree that Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok is in a league of his own. It’s safe to say that he is one of the game’s ambassadors and the best mid-laner in League of Legends. Considering his success, it’s no surprise he is among the top-earning Legue of Legends players.

Speaking of the amount he won, the stats from Esports Earnings show that Faker has won close to $1.8M so far. Although this amount may not seem as high as the ones in Dota 2, it is two times more than the second name on the list.

Faker is a living legend and a name that will go down in history. He is the most recognizable LoL player ever and has proven himself as one of the best in the world. This also happened in 2024 because his team T1 won the Worlds 2024.

    China – JackeyLove – $883K

Although South Korea is the leader in League of Legends, it’s not the only country with world-class players. China is close behind it, and the name that stands out from this country is Yu “JackeyLove” Wen-Bo. The 24-year-old Bot laner is one of the rising stars in the game and a name that we expect to see more of.

So far, the Chinese superstar has won $883K, making him on of the top-earning League of Legends players in China. This player’s career began when he was 15 years old, and since then, JackeyLove has won a lot of big events. His most recent success is the 2nd place at Demacia Cup 2024, an event that finished on Dec 29, 2024.

    Denmark – Caps – $704K

Although there are not that many world-class European League of Legends players, some have made a name for themselves. Rasmus “Caps” Winther is the most successful European LoL player and one of the biggest names in the game. The 25-year-old bot and mid-laner has played for a lot of the big names in LoL, so it’s not surprising he is among the top-earning League of Legends players.

Speaking of numbers, Caps has close to $704K so far, an amount that is much higher than that of any other player from Denmark. At just 25 years of age, Caps is one of G2’s most promising names, so we expect to see more of him in the next couple of years.

    Croatia – PerkZ – $585K

The second Legue of Legends player from Europe that is on the list is from Croatia, and his name is Luka “Perkz” Perković. The 26-year-old bot and midder has been a part of the professional LoL scene for some time now. He began his career in 2015 when he played for Gamers2. The player’s last club was Team Heretics, where he spent close to one year.

Over the course of his career, PerkZ has become one of the top-earning League of Legends players and the best in his country. The stats show that his total earnings so far are close to $585K.

Since PerkZ hasn’t been active for more than 6 months, we expect to see him back in action in 2025. He is definitely one of the players that has a lot to give, so we can’t wait to see him back in action.

    Taiwan – Karsa – $575K

The Taiwanese League of Legends scene also has several big names that deserve more attention, and Karsa is among them. Hung “Karsa” Hau-Hsuan has to be one of the most recognizable junglers in the game. The 27-year-old star has played for a lot of big names over the years, and his PSG Talon is his current squad.

Karsa’s career also started in 2015, and since then, he and his clubs have won countless big events. Consequently, the player’s current winnings in LoL are equal to around $575K. This makes him the most successful LoL player from Taiwan in terms of that.

    Poland – Jankos – $519K

Poland is one of the interesting countries in Esports because it has a lot of top-tier players. Although CS2 and Dota 2 are slightly more popular than League of Legends, the latter also has its stars. Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski is definitely the name that stands out, and he is among the top-earning League of Legends players, earning a total of $519K.

What’s interesting about the 29-year-old player from Poland is that he hasn’t been active since late 2024. Jankos’s last home was Team Heretics, so it will be interesting to see which squad he’ll be a part of in 2025.

    Sweden – Rekkles – $460K

Sweden is another country where CS2 and Dota 2 are on another level in terms of popularity. Nevertheless, there are also a few big names in League of Legends, one of which is Rekkles.

Carl Martin Erik “Rekkles” Larsson is a 28-year-old bot/support who has been a part of many of the big European powerhouses. What’s interesting about him is that he recently moved to Los Rantones, after spending close to 1 year with T1.EA.

In terms of the prize money that Rekkles has access to, the play accumulated $460K so far.

    Conclusion

What’s interesting about the stats of the top-earning League of Legends players is that most of them are from South Korea or China. If we check the leaderboard, we can see that Rekkles, the last name on our list, is ranked 41 overall. The top 10 consists of 8 players from SK and 2 from China. In fact, there are only two EU plates in the top 20, and we have included them both here.

2025 is just around the corner, so make sure you follow Blix.gg for more League of Legends news, stats, and more. We hope you will have an amazing year.
