One of Dota 2’s biggest updates in the last couple of months should have come to an end this week. Crownfall allows players to get a lot of different things, and many of them seem to like what’s available. So, instead of putting an end to it, Valve announced that Dota 2 Crownfall will be available for 3 more weeks.
Dota 2 Crownfall To Last 3 More Weeks
Months after the Dota 2 Crownfall release date, Valve decided to give us more time with this event. Following the latest post, the end date for Crownfall has been moved to February 6, 2025. As a result, players will have a lot more time to complete all of the Crownfall Act maps.
This decision may come as a surprise to some, but a lot of people from the community saw it coming. A lot of players have been begging Valve to give them more time, and the company decided to listen to them. One post, in particular, was very intriguing because a person used his unique-looking cat to convince Valve of their decision.
In their statement, Valve made it clear that the Dota 2 Crownfall end date will not be extended anymore. Consequently, people wanting to complete their Act and get candy must step up their game and start playing.
The Backlash
Although a lot of players from the Dota 2 community were happy about the Dota 2 Crownfall update, others were not pleased. Some players shared how they’ve spent several days grinding and then spent all candies on rerolls because they thought the event would end. We have yet to see whether Valve will decide to “reimburse” these players one way or another.
What’s Next?
Following the Dota 2 Crownfall Act 4, we expect Valve to come up with something similar. As you know, we no longer have access to the Battle Pass systems that were available before. Instead, players receive different types of content that is usually very interesting.
It’s safe to say that Crownfall Dota 2 has been a big success for the game. The minigames, numerous cosmetic bonuses, and everything else made it a lot more interesting than we thought. We really hope that Valve will decide to come up with something similar, but we will have to wait and see.
