On April 3, Call of Duty: Warzone launched its third season, the main event of which was the return of the legendary Verdansk map. The location was recreated considering the mechanics of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and now it is designed for 150 players. The Blix team will tell you more about it.

Call of Duty: Warzone Update

The Return to Verdansk
The map was decided to return in honor of the fifth anniversary of the original Call of Duty: Warzone, which led to the video being named “Unforgettable Verdansk.” However, the news did not please all fans of the “battle royal”—judging by the most popular comments under the teaser, players are still waiting for the return of “the very Call of Duty: Warzone.”
However, so many are excited and writing about how it is literally a “homecoming”.
As a reminder, the original Battle Royale was shut down in 2023 due to the release of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.
The Return to Verdansk is a limited-time event celebrating the return of Verdansk and offering free OG day rewards.
The way the event works is that the map is divided into sections, and in each section you can find blue safes that you can open that will help you progress through the event.
Thankfully, this event isn’t just tied to the Battle Royale mode. If you prefer to be out of the way of other players, especially veterans, you can complete it in Battle Royale Casual or even Plunder, which can make life easier for you and other players.
New Modes

Additional modes for the season include:
- Battle Royale Casual (148 players, including 28 humans and 120 bots)
- Plunder Quads (100 players, money raising)
- Resurgence (44 players, 15 minute battles)
- Warzone Bootcamp (44 players, including 12 humans and 32 bots).
Starting mid-season, the game will feature a ranked mode for threesomes.
A few days ago, it was revealed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Call of Duty: Warzone will feature iconic characters from the View Askewniverse—Jay and Silent Bob—and new themed weapon coloring.
Among other things, the developers have added the ability to mass ransom partners, displaying all weapon modules when inspecting them, additional map customization, and a detailed death report showing how enemies spotted and eliminated the player.
Conclusion
The developers promise to release six new weapons throughout Season 3. Insiders are sure that the update should bring back the departed players from the shooter. If this does not happen, Activision will abandon the creation of Warzone 3.
