We are slowly approaching the end of the Dota 2 Esports World Cup 2025. With just 4 teams left, it’s time to see what we can expect from the semifinals before we focus on the Grand Final. The tournament will end tomorrow, so let’s learn more about it.
Team Spirit vs PARIVISION
The first semifinal at the Esports World Cup 2025 Dota 2 is between Team Spirit and PARIVISION. As expected, the two Dota 2 powerhouses reached this part of the event following an impressive performance. The two EEU giants are among the big favorites, but only one of them will advance to the tournament’s next stage.
Starting with Team Spirit, the squid secured a place in the Playoffs after finishing first in Group A. The first challenge ahead of them was Gaimin Gladiators, the EWC defending champions, but the WEU squad had no chance. Spirit was better and dominated in both games to secure a confident victory.
PARIVISION, on the other hand, was in Group D, and it was unable to finish first. Instead, the team came 2nd, so it had to play in the Elimination Phase against Xtreme Gaming. After a successful match, the EEU team moved on ot the Playoffs, where it met Aurora Gaming.
To be fair, most people thought that Aurora would go down easier, but this was not the case. We saw a fun 3-game battle between but in the end, PARIVISION proved why it is one of the world’s top Dota 2 teams.
Tundra Esports vs Team Falcons
Tundra Esports and Team Falcons will compete in the second semifinal match at the Esports World Cup 2025. It is safe to say that this match is more interesting because most people did not expect the two to reach this stage of the event.
If we look at Tundra Esports, we can see that the team was 2nd in Group C, which required it to play in the Elimination Phase against Talon Esports. As expected, the bzm and the rest did not have any issues and advanced to the Playoffs, where they met the BetBoom Team.
Most people expected BetBoom Team to eliminate Tundra, especially considering the squad’s most recent results. However, the WEU squad seemed more motivated and defeated their counterparts.
The situation with Team Falcons is even more interesting, especially considering the squad’s results so far. TF came third in Group B, so they had to play 2 matches in the Elimination Phase. Luckily for the young team, Falcons defeated both VP and Natus Vincere, securing itself a place in the Quarterfinals.
Just when we thought that it couldn’t get worse, the team had to face Team Liquid, the squad that has not lost a single series. Most people expected the Falcons to go down, but Liquid failed to live up to the expectations.
