While we are unsure if the Dota 2 Patch 7.39d will be the last update before The International 2025, we believe it will be THE tournament patch. We have been waiting for Valve to drop something new, and it finally arrived. Alongside the new 7.39d patch, we also have an event called Quartero’s Curios, but this overview is all about the new patch, so let’s dive in.

Patch 7.39d – General and Item Updates

Quartero brings free cosmetics for you while you play but there's also a gameplay update: 7.39d is now LIVE! https://t.co/Ukbvuo7zhN #Dota2 pic.twitter.com/MBIu95ygBK

Since this is an extension of the 7.39 Dota 2 patch, you should not be surprised that there are no ground-breaking changes. Nevertheless, there are a few general and item updates you should know about:

    • Terrain Changes – Valve finally fixed the ward spot in Radiant safe lane hard camp and removed a few trees from the Dire safelane small camp.
    • Blade Mail – It gives +15 instead of +18 damage and the passive return is 10+15% instead of 20 + 20%.
    • Octarine Core – It offers +450 bonus HP and Mana instead of +500.
    • Witch Blade – It gives +5 bonus armor instead of +6.
    • Helm of the Undying – Death Delay is now 6s instead of 5s. Sadly, units can no longer attack buildings while the item is active.
    • Sister’s Shroud – The starting evasion is 150% instead of 200% and the duration is 5s instead of 8s.

Dota 2 Patch 7.39d Hero Updates

There are a lot of small hero changes after the recent Dota 2 patch, and you can check all of them here. Having said that, we will take a closer look at some of the heroes that deserve more attention:

    • Axe – Berserkern’s Call now costs more mana, and Culling Blade’s Bonus Armor is down to 10/15/20 instead of 20/25/30.
    • Batrider – The hero’s base AGI is now 13 instead of 15. Flamebreak has a 400 instead of a 450 radius, and the hero’s damage at level 1 is down by 1.
    • Faceless Void – The Chronosphere and Time Zone facets now reduce the abilities’ cooldown a bit more than before.
    • Naga Siren – Song of the Siren now has a lower radius on levels 1 and 2. Deluge, her face, now has a duration of 2.6/2.9/3.2 /3.5 instead of 3.5 on all levels.
    • Nature’s Prophet’s – Sprout now deals less damage on levels 3 and 4. Scooting Saplings, his Facet, now provides 10/15/20/25 HP per sec regen instead of 14/26/38/50.
    • Snapfire – Firesnap cookie now has 2s less CD across all levels. Mortimer Kisses also has a 3.5s duration instead of 3s.

    Conclusion

All in all, the most recent Dota 2 patch 7.39d gave us some of the much-needed nerfs. A few heroes also got interesting buffs, so we can’t wait to see how the meta feels. Don’t forget to follow us for more details.
