FISSURE Universe: Episode 6 will be the last Dota 2 tournament before The International 2025. Although it may not be as impressive as the Clavision Masters 2025, it’s definitely an event worth following. There is a lot to discuss here, so let’s dive in and learn more information.

FISSURE Universe: Episode 6 Overview & Prize Pool
FISSURE Universe: Episode 6 will be an online tournament that will take Place between August 19 – 24. FISSURE will organize the event on the Europe West services and include a round-robin Group Stage and double-elimination playoffs.
Like other FISSURE Universe tournaments, this one will welcome a total of 10 teams. They will compete for a $250,000 prize pool, which will be divided as follows:
- 1st Place – $125,000
- 2nd Place – $60,000
- 3rd Place – $30,000
- 4th Place – $15,000
- 5th-6th Place – $10,000
Even though there will be 10 teams in total, those that finish between 7th and 10th Place will not receive anything from the prize pool. This is an interesting approach because most events will reward all teams, regardless of placement.
Format & Teams
The next important factor to discuss is the FISSURE Universe: Episode 6 format. As mentioned, the competition will have a Group Stage and Playoffs. There will be two groups of five teams that will play in a round-robin format. All matches will be in Bo2 and the top squad from each group will go to the Upper Bracket, whereas the 2nd and 3rd-place teams will go to the Lower Bracket. Sadly, all of the remaining teams will be eliminated.
The Playoffs will be held between August 23-24 and we will see a double-elimination bracket. All games will be in Bo3 but the Grand Final will be in a best-of-five format, allowing us to watch more epic matches.
In terms of the teams, 8 out of 10 teams received a direct invitation, whereas the other two earned their spot via the Play-In. Here are all of the teams we will see in action:
- Team Spirit
- Virtus.Pro
- BetBoom Team
- Team Liquid
- PARIVISION
- AVULUS
- Gaimin Gladiators
- Team Falcons
- Team Tidebound
There’s no arguing that some teams are in a much better position to win, so let’s go over the potential favorites.
PARIVISION
Despite the team’s underwhelming performance at the Clavision Masters 2025, PARIVISION is definitely one of the favorites. The team has had tremendous results throughout the years and will be among the names to follow at The International. We believe it has what it takes to win this event.
Team Tidebound
It seems like Team Tidebound is the best Dota 2 squad in China right now, especially after the most recent result. Guo “Shiro” Xuanang and the rest won the last big Dota 2 event and proved that a Chinese team can take down the best in Europe.
Even though the Dota 2 Patch 7.39d landed just a few days ago, we believe Team Tidebound will keep the momentum going. Don’t be surprised if you notice that many bookmakers consider them the big favorite.
Team Liquid
Liquid has become one of the Dota 2 teams that are always among the favorites. It did not live up to the expectations a few weeks ago, but the WEU powerhouse has proved it has what’s needed to bring down some of the best in the world.
Team Spirit
The last big favorite to win the FISSURE Universe: Episode 6 is Team Spirit. One of the best squads in Eastern Europe recently lifted the trophy at the Esports World Cup 2025, proving it remains one of the best in the world. While it’s true that this event will be on a different patch, no one can deny Team Spirit’s prowess and the fact that it is among the favorites.
Closing Thoughts
Even though this tournament “only” has a $250K reward, it will still bring together many of the best Dota 2 teams in the world. This will be the last challenge for them prior to TI, so it’s definitely an event worth following. Make sure to check the official live streams if you wish to watch the games in real-time. FISSURE Universe: Episode 6 will be available in both English and Russian.
