T1 Worlds 2024 Winners Skins Released in LoL Patch 25.18
Even though we are just a few weeks away from Worlds 2025, Riot Games decided it’s high time to celebrate T1’s success in the 2024 World Championship. To make their win memorable, Riot released special skins to honor Oner, Faker, Zeus, Keria and Gumayusi.
An interesting fact about these skins is that they have different easter eggs, such as Gumayusi’s good croissant. If you want to get these skins, you can do that during the LoL patch 25.18 and 25.19. It’s possible to purchase them on their own or via the Signature and Mega bundles.
The Signature Edition will include the champion skin, the player’s signature border and icon, an elite chroma, a T1 ward and the specific champion. If you opt for the Mega Bundle, you will get pretty much everything, including a golden T1 World Champions icon and all champions.
There will also be a 2024 World Championship Sylas Prestige skin that will celebrate Faker’s MVP performance. You can get it for 150 ME from the Mythic Shop.
Account Bans, Boosting Detection & Game Info Updates in Patch 25.18
Another issue that the new LoL patch addresses is related to boosters, bots and bans. According to Riot, they started rolling out bans for people who botted and purchased accounts. Their system started flagging people for boosts and smurfs, so we can expect to see many penalties in the next couple of days.
Even though Riot says it is confident in its detection system, banned players can contact the support team and appeal the decision.
Outside of that, League of Legends also added game info tracking improvements. For example, the death recap has received a visual polish. The goal behind these changes is to make LoL more visually appealing.
Champion Buffs & Nerfs in LoL Patch 25.18 – Annie, Amumu, Briar & More
The League of Legends Patch 25.18 did not introduce any ground-breaking champion changes. Nevertheless, there are a few names that we believe deserve more attention:
- Amumu – The Q now has 2s less cooldown on Level 5 and costs 50 at all ranks. The latter makes it a bit harder to use on level 1, but much more efficient later on.
- Annie – Her W now deals less damage on levels 2-5 and her R has lower magic penetration on levels 1 and 2.
- Briar – Starting with her Q, the base damage is slightly lower than before and it now does physical instead of magical damage. Her W is no longer affected by the annoying bug, whereas her R will now play a sound after cast. The ultimate will also deal more damage than before and has a 12000 range instead of 10000.
- Hwei – Her passive now gives a 35% AP ratio instead of 30%, whereas her WQ provides more bonus MS and has a higher bonus MS AP ratio. Lastly, her E also got buffed.
There are plenty of other LoL champions that received small buffs or nerfs, so don’t forget to read the official changelog.
Item Changes in Patch 25.18 – Bami’s Cinder, Sunfire Cape & Mercurial Scimitar
Alongside the different champion changes, the LoL Patch 25.18 also has several item changes. To be fair, there are 3 of them:
- Bami’s Cinder now gives 100% amp on monsters instead of 50%.
- Sunfire Cape now provides 60% amp on minions and monsters instead of 50%
- Mercurial Scimitar now gives 50 attack damage, 35 magic resistance and has an active movespeed duration of 2s.
Doom Bots Adjustments & Arena Mode Updates in LoL Patch 25.18
The newest LoL update also brings a lot of changes related to Doom Bots. We recommend checking the change log because there are a lot of new aspects.
As for the Arena, we must address several important factors, starting with the AFK detection. The latest patch adds special rules, such as:
- The AFK warning will appear if you have been inactive for 70 seconds
- Taking damage or being teleported into combat will not count as activity.
- If you have been inactive for more than 180 seconds, your vote won’t count towards forfeiting.
- People who’ve been AFK for more than 300 seconds will be removed from the game.
These are just some of the Arena changes you should be aware of. Riot also decided to nerf some things, such as the +20 MS on ranged champions. Speaking of the devil, certain champions also received buffs and nerfs.
Summoner’s Rift Cup
The last important thing we want to point out in the League of Legends Patch 25.18 is the Summoner’s Rift Cup. it will take place this patch and registration begins on September 9 at 11 AM. If you wish to take part in the competition, mark September 13 and 14.
