It seems like the post-TI roster shuffle is officially on because we have the first big announcement. Quinn “Quinn” Callahan decided to retire from professional Dota 2. This shocked the fans as they’ve learnt about the player’s decision via a video message.

Quinn Retires from Dota 2
It’s safe to say that the video of him saying how he decided to retire was emotional. By the looks of it, Quinn’s idea of leaving professional Dota 2 is not related to the Gaimin Gladiators drama from a few weeks ago. As you know, the team failed to attend The International after international problems.
Quinn said that he does not want to commit to professional Dota 2 anymore and had been thinking of quitting in 2024. In the end, however, he decided that 2025 would be his last year.
One of the saddest parts of the video message is that it seems to be filmed before Quinn and the rest learned they won’t attend TI 2025. Sadly, we could not see the legendary North American mid-laner in action in Germany.
Quinn & Gaimin Gladiators’s Domination
Every Dota 2 fan who’s been around in the last couple of years knows about Gaimin Gladiator’s domination. This is especially true in 2023 when Quinn and his team won pretty much everything aside from The International. GG secured 3 Majors and finished 2nd at TI following a loss against Team Spirit.
2024 was not as good for the team as last year, but GG still did fairly well. The team finished 2nd at TI again after losing the Grand Final. Fortunately, the team secured the Riyadh Masters 2024 after defeating Team Liquid (the same team that beat them at TI’s Grand Final).
What’s Next for Gaimin Gladiators?
Following the scandal and Quinn’s departure, it is highly unlikely that any of the remaining players will continue to play for the club. We do not know what’s going to happen, but it seems like the organization is on the verge of adding a completely new roster. We will have to wait and see, so don’t forget to follow us for more details.
