This was definitely not a change we expected to see at Xtreme Gaming, considering the team’s impressive run at The International 2025. It appears that the post-TI14 roster shuffle also impacted the Chinese powerhouse, as XG parted ways with Guo “Xm” Hongcheng and Zhao “XinQ” Zixing. Here’s what we need to know.

After thorough communication and friendly negotiations, and with full respect for the players' personal wishes, XtremeGaming is making the following adjustments effective immediately:

It is safe to say that Xtreme Gaming shocked the Dota 2 community after it announced two massive roster changes. The first one is related to the team’s mid-laner Xm and the second one is for the position 4 – XinQ. The two players helped XG a lot at The International 2025 as the team reached the Grand Final.

Xtreme Gaming said in its announcement that it thanks both for their dedication and outstanding performance during their time with the team. The statement finished with “XG will see you soon!”, which indicates that the two will most likely move to another Chinese Dota 2 team.

XinQ became a part of XG in 2023 and has been playing on and off for the team ever since. Together with the rest, XinQ won a lot of big events over the years, including the Games of the Future 2024, Elite League Season 1 and Clavision: Snow Ruyi.

As for Xm, he has also been a part of XG since 2023 and helped the roster achieve great success. He was among the main reasons for the team’s incredible performance at The International 2024.

Following the announcement of the departure of the two Dota 2 players, XG also mentioned that it will be adding two prominent names. The first one is the ex-Tidebound mid-laner Cheng “NothingToSay” Jin Xiang and the legendary support player Xu “fy” Linsen. Both of them are well-known names in the professional Dota 2 scene and have been in it for a while.

NothingToSay last played for Team Tidebound, but he only spent a few months with the club. Prior to that, the mid-laner has been a part of all kinds of other big teams, including G2 x IG, All Gamers Global, LGD Gaming and Invictus Gaming.

As for fy, we can write an entire article dedicated on him. He is one of the most recognizable names in professional Dota 2 in China. Fy was a part of the legendary PSG.LGD team between 2017 and 2020 and has also played for all big Chinese organizations.

Fy’s last professional match was more than a year ago, as he played for Azure Ray in 2024. It’s been a while since fans have seen him on the big stage, but we are confident his performance will live up to our expectations. Fy will get the chance to play alongside Ame, his LGD teammate.

Xtreme Gaming’s New Roster – What is Ahead of It

After the roster changes, Xtreme Gaming’s current lineup looks as follows:

    • Wang “Ame” Chunyu
    • Cheng “NothingToSay” Jin Xiang
    • Lin “Xxs” Jing
    • Xu “fy” Linsen
    • Yap “xNova” Jian Wei

The first big challenge for Xtreme Gaming will be the upcoming DreamLeague Season 27. The squad qualified for it and will compete for the $1,000,000 prize pool. DL S7 will begin in just a few days from now, so make sure to follow us for more details.
