MOUZ Withdrew from DreamLeague Division 2 Season 1
Even though DreamLeague Division 2 Season 1 started a few days ago, one of the teams decided it does not want to participate. Due to personal reasons, MOUZ will no longer be a part of the competition. Instead, fans will see Team Tea. The latter is an interesting mix of young and experienced players that feature the likes of SoNNEikO, Cloud and dEsire. After the changes, Team Tea will play in Group B of the tournament.
DreamLeague Division 2 Season 1
This is one of DreamLeague’s newest Dota 2 tournaments for “Tier 2” clubs that focuses on giving them slots for the big DreamLeague competitions. Taking place between October 11-26, it will include 16 Dota 2 teams that are split into two big groups. Following the most recent changes, the lineup looks as follows:
- 1w Team
- 4Pirates
- eSpoiled
- hunterZ
- OG
- NAVI Junior
- Kalmychata
- Inner Circle
- Passion UA
- Peru Rejects
- Pipsqueek+4
- Roar Gaming
- Zero Tenacity
- The Bug
- Team Yandex
- Team Tea
Following the first couple of days, 1w Team is leading in Group A, whereas Pipsqueak+4 is in the lead in Group B. The last two teams from each group will be eliminated from the tournament, so we expect to see an epic battle in the next couple of days.
In terms of favorites, OG are definitely the first name that comes to mind, but they have not shown their prowess yet. At the time of writing, OG is in the middle of Group A with one loss and one win. The new roster already failed to qualify for many of the big Dota 2 tournaments, so we expect it to give everything it has to succeed here.
Keep in mind that the teams that finish between first and fourth place will all receive slots for DreamLeague Season 27. The only difference is in the prize pool.
