FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 Overview
FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 will be an offline tournament taking place in Belgrade, Serbia. People wishing to attend it must visit the Sava Centar between October 23 and November 2. During that time, Dota 2 fans will see 16 of the best Tier 1 teams playing for a $1,000,000 prize pool.
FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 Format
This will be a classic Dota 2 tournament that will have two distinct formats – Group Stage and Playoffs. Instead of having two separate groups, however, FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 will use the Swiss-system, meaning all 16 teams will be in one group. They will play Bo3 games and the top 8 of them will advance to the Playoffs, whereas the rest will be eliminated.
The Playoffs will be a double-elimination bracket with a Bo5 Grand Final and Bo3 matches. As mentioned, we will have a $1M reward and the winner will take $300K and a $50K Club Reward.

FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 Teams & Favorites
The Dota 2 tournament will begin in just a few days from now, so we already know the names of all participating teams. There will be 16 of them in total as follows:
- Team Liquid
- PARIVISION
- BetBoom Team
- Tundra Esports
- HEROIC
- Nigma Galaxy
- Team Spirit
- Team Falcons
- Virtus.Pro
- Team Combra
- Team Yandex
- Aurora Gaming
- Vici Gaming
- Runa Team
- Yakult Brothers
- MOUZ
We can see a lot of big names here, but no one can deny that a few of them look a lot more promising. That’s why it is time to take a look at some of the potential favorites to win this event.
Team Falcons
It is no surprise that the team that won TI14 will be the big favorite for FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2. This will be the first challenge of the new season for the Falcons, and they are in an excellent position to win. However, most teams seem to struggle shortly after lifting the Aegis, so this will be a test for the powerhouse to see what they’re capable of.
PARIVISION
Thanks to some of the best individual Dota 2 players in the world, PARIVISION will be one of the big favorites for FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2. Fans were expecting it to dominate at TI14 as well and it did because the team finished 3rd. PARIVISION definitely looks promising, so we can’t wait to see how it will do against these opponents.
Team Liquid
Despite failing to impress us at The International 2025, Team Liquid will be one of the favorites. The squad recently made an important roster change after iNsania decided to retire, so this will be the first challenge for the new roster.
HEROIC
The last favorite is definitely the most interesting because we have the South American powerhouse. Normally, we would not consider HEROIC to be among the favorites, but the team recently won the FISSURE Universe: Episode 7. Even though most of the big names were not present, we have to respect HEROIC’s grind and believe they have what it takes.
Closing Thoughts
FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 will be one of those Dota 2 tournaments you do not want to miss out on. It definitely has everything needed to become a top-tier event, so we can’t wait to see it. Don’t forget that many of the teams will have their first official competition witht their new rosters.
