AMKAL has announced that Kaisar ‘ICY’ Faiznurov will be benched from the team while they conduct an investigation to determine whether there has been any unfair behavior from the player towards the organization.
The Russian organization has refrained from sharing any further details about the case at this time. However, it has assured that it will continue to keep the public informed as new information becomes available.
Amid swirling rumors, it has been reported that Cloud9 is pursuing “ICY” to bolster their team roster. This is part of their efforts to strengthen their current lineup, which currently only includes Kirill ‘Boombl4’ Mikhailov and Sergey ‘Ax1Le’ Rykhtorov.

The 19-year-old sniper joined AMKAL by signing the ex-1WIN trio, earning a spot at the RMR Closed Qualifier in late 2023. During their journey to qualify for the Major, the team reached their primary goal and stood out by defeating the Falcons in the 1-2 clash at the RMR. Notably, ‘ICY’ played a pivotal role in their qualification campaign, showcasing impressive performance with a 1.10 rating in Romania, just slightly below his overall average of 1.15.
After going 0-3 in the Copenhagen Major’s Opening Stage, the team replaced Aleksei ‘NickelBack’Trofimov with Daniil ‘Sdaim’ Tupov. Currently 32nd in the world, the team will compete in the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown on August 21-25.
