Blix Top Eight Teams
Natus Vincere
Team Roster:
- Valerij âb1tâ Vakhovsjkyj
- Aleksi âAleksibâ Virolainen
- Justinas âjLâ LekaviÄius
- Mihai’ iM’ Ivan
- Ihor âw0nderfulâ Zhdanov
- Andrij âB1ad3â Ghorodensjkyj (Coach)
They’re our number one for a good reason. They’re the latest major tournament PGL Copenhagen 2024 champions. It is hard to look for a weak side in their case since, throughout eSports history, we’ve seen many teams that won the biggest tournament and lost a few games right after that, making changes, but it never went well. So they had better stay in the same lineup as they are and prepare for the next one.
MOUZ
Team Roster:
- Ãdám âtorsziâ Torzsás
- Dorian âxertioNâ Berman
- Kamil âsiuhyâ Szkaradek
- Jimi âJimpphatâ Salo
- Ludvig âBrollanâ Brolin
- Dennis âsycroneâ Nielsen (Coach)
A mix of young players that already got that high in the rankings since they won the Grand Final of a big tournament against much more experienced team Vitality with a confident 3-0 score. The only thing they have to do is find consistency and get more experience to achieve consistent results.
Team Spirit
Team Roster:
- Leonid’ chopper’ Vishnyakov
- Boris âmagixxâ Vorobyev
- Myroslav âz0nt1xâ Plakhotja
- Danil âd0nkâ Kryshkovets
- Dmitriy âsh1roâ Sokolov
- Sergey âhallyâ Shavayev (Coach)
This team’s main problem is consistency as a team and the consistency of their star player ‘d0nk’, who can solo-handedly win any game at any point, but sometimes he just can’t find his game, and then it becomes a really big problem for his team to play against best teams. In one game, he might pull 30 frags against one of the best teams in the world, leaving them no chance at all, and in another game, he is getting controlled by the enemy team across the map, and he can’t find himself so if he and his team help him to figure out what do to whenever it happens they might stay at the top for a long time.
FaZe
Team Roster:
- HÃ¥vard ârainâ Nygaard
- Helvijs âbrokyâ Saukants
- Finn âkarriganâ Andersen
- Robin’ ropz’Kool
- David âfrozenâ ÄerÅanský
- Filip âNEOâ Kubski (Coach)
It is hard to see any big problem in that team since they keep getting to the playoff stage of every single tournament. Their players need consistency to bring their best game simultaneously in important games since there are many games where only half of the players can’t find their game. It all depends on the rest, it’s rarely to see all of them shine in one game but if they do it is hard to imagine someone winning against them.
G2
Team Roster:
- Nemanja âhuNter-â KovaÄ
- Nikola âNiKoâ KovaÄ
- Ilya âm0NESYâ Osipov
- Rasmus âHooXiâ Nielsen
- Nemanja ânexaâ IsakoviÄ
- Wiktor âTaZâ Wojtas (Coach)
We have already witnessed them winning IEM Dallas 2024 and getting a trophy after a long time without it. This time, it was ‘Stewie2K’ who they brought to play at this tournament instead of ‘HooXi’. Many people thought ‘HooXi’ was their problem, and they probably were happy to see that once they changed him, they got the trophy, but it might not be the case. We have to go for a distance to see if they keep their new player and can keep the same game level because it might be that it was just a honeymoon period with a new player that helped them, and it’s hard to judge if that was a real problem.
Vitality
Team Roster:
- Dan âapEXâ Madesclaire
- Mathieu âZywOoâ Herbaut
- Lotan âSpinxâ Giladi
- Shahar âflameZâ Shushan
- William âmeziiâ Merriman
- Rémy âXTQZZZâ Quoniam (Coach)
‘ZywOo’ sometimes does miracles to win games for his team. They have to find out how to play around him better because they’re usually so close to getting the trophies, but there’s no one to support ‘ZywOo‘. Whenever he is having an off game, they just fall apart in the game, so they also need to find how to play when ‘ZywOo’ is having his off game.
Astralis
Team Roster:
- Nicolai âdeviceâ Reedtz
- Victor âstaehrâ Staehr
- Martin âstavnâ Lund
- Jakob âJabbiâ Nygaard
- Alexander âbr0â Bro
- Casper âruggahâ Due (Coach)
After building a team around ‘device’, they have young players who are extra motivated to win, and it’s hard to judge yet what they’re capable of. They did have good results, such as a win over one of the best teams, FaZe since they completed their roster, and what we need is time to see if they can find their way to play.
Virtus.pro
Team Roster:
- Dzhami’ Jame’ Ali
- Evgeniy âFL1Tâ Lebedev
- Petr’ fame’ Bolyshev
- David ân0rb3r7â Daniyelyan
- Denis âelectroNicâ Sharipov
They’ve been one of the hardest teams to play against because of their play style. But after a few bad results, they started making their roster changes, trying to bring up different types of players, and the recent one was ‘electroNic’ who got into a place of ‘mir‘. ‘electroNic’ is one of the most experienced CIS-players. He is a valuable addition to any team. It’s been less than two months since the changes were made, so it remains to be seen if they will finally help the team get closer to winning trophies.
Blix Top 9-16th
HEROIC
Team Roster:
- René âTeSeSâ Madsen
- Rasmus âsjuushâ Beck
- Guy âNertZâ Iluz
- Damjan âkyxsanâ Stoilkovski
- Abdulkhalik âdegsterâ Gasanov
- Eetu âsAwâ Saha (Coach)
After all the roster changes they made and getting young players, they need experience to know their real level, and it’s only time that will show us what this team is capable of.
Eternal Fire
Team Roster:
- Ä°smailcan âXANTARESâ DörtkardeÅ
- BuÄra âCalyxâ Arkın
- Engin âMAJ3Râ Küpeli
- Ali âWicadiaâ Haydar Yalçın
- Ãzgür âwoxicâ Eker
- Sezgin âFabreâ Kalaycı (Coach)
A Turkish team decided to stick with a full roster of Turkish players and try their best. They’re doing great, and if they keep practicing and find a way to be consistent, they can fight against any team.
Falcons
Team Roster:
- Marco âSnappiâ Pfeiffer
- Emil’ Magisk’ Reif
- Pavle âmadenâ BoÅ¡koviÄ
- Alvaro âSunPayusâ Garcia
- Peter âdupreehâ Rasmussen
- Danny âzonicâ Sørensen (Coach)
This organization came into the Counter-Strike 2 scene not long ago and kept trying it with different players and building different rosters around some of them. They did have a few good results and close scores against the best teams out there, but first of all, they need to decide on their final roster and keep grinding.
Complexity
Team Roster:
- Johnny âJTâ Theodosiou
- Ricky âfloppyâ Kemery
- Michael âGrimâ Wince
- HÃ¥kon âhallzerkâ Fjærli
- Jonathan âEliGEâ Jablonowski
- Tiaan âT.câ Coertzen (Coach)
If you look at their roster, they look promising, but they lack consistency. They can do well against any team and then get demolished by a lower-tier team. They need to work on consistency.
TheMongolZ
Team Roster:
- Garidmagnai âbLitzâ Byambasuren
- Sodbayar âTechno4Kâ Munkhbold
- Usukhbayar â910â Banzragch
- Ayush âmzinhoâ Batbold
- Azbayar âSenzuâ Munkhbold
- Erdenedalai âmaaRaaâ Bayanbat (Coach)
They have been underdogs in every single tournament, but they keep grinding their way to the top, and it pays off. There’s no top team anymore who would underestimate this team because they’re getting better and better and can give a fight to any top team out there on a good day. Their final upgrade might be if they fully transfer to Europe to play and practice against the best teams.
Cloud9
Team Roster:
- Sergey âAx1Leâ Rykhtorov
- Kirill âBoombl4â Mikhaylov
- To Be Announced
- To Be Announced
- To Be Announced
- Konstantin ‘groove’ Pikiner (Coach)
After losing their main sniper, ‘sh1ro,’ they couldn’t find their game without a sniper for a long time. They tried different players playing different roles, but it didn’t work well for them. Now, there are only two players left, and the other three players have yet to be announced.
paiN
Team Roster:
- Rodrigo âbiguzeraâ Bittencourt
- Lucas âluxâ Meneghini
- Kaue âkauezâ Kaschuk
- Lucas ânqzâ Soares
- João âsnowâ Vinicius
- Henrique ârikzâ Waku (Coach)
At the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, this team played lights out and surprised everyone with their level, but it wasn’t enough to beat the best European teams. Since they’re from Brazil, it’s hard to imagine them getting to this level without moving to Europe for a longer period of time to practice against the best teams in the world.
BIG
Team Roster:
- Johannes âtabseNâ Wodarz
- Karim âKrimboâ Moussa
- David’ prosus’Hesse
- Florian âsyrsoNâ Rische
- Jon ‘JDC’ de Castro
- Alexander âkakafuâ Szymanczyk (Interim Coach)
A team that stuck to a roster of 5 German players with an experienced leader and player ‘tabseN’. At this point, it is hard to tell what they’re missing, but it’s been a long time since they couldn’t do much while playing against top European teams. It might be time for them to practice with all the young players they have or even make some changes that will be needed anytime soon.
Currently, that’s how we see the top sixteen teams in the world. It might and will change very soon, probably, since the scene is competitive and changes almost every day. So, later, we might return with our updates on this topic; stay tuned!
