Playoff Round 1 Matches Overview
BIG vs. G2
BIG vs. G2 – Playoffs Round 1 – ESL Pro League 19
These two teams haven’t met since last year, and it will be interesting to see how they play against each other this time. BIG is less experienced and not as strong as G2 on paper, but G2 is known for its inconsistency, and the kind of game they bring at this time is unpredictable. BIG can surprise them, and if G2 doesn’t bring their A-game, they might have problems getting to the next round of the playoffs.
BetBoom vs. FlyQuest

GamerLegion vs. Virtus.pro
GamerLegion vs. Virtus.pro – Playoffs Round 1 – ESL Pro League 19
These two teams met a few months ago at the IEM Katowice 2024 Play-In Stage, and back then, GamerLegion won that game with a 2-1 score. Now, GamerLegion looks less consistent than VP with their recently updated roster. ‘ElectroNic’ is one of the best CIS players, and now he’s there to help VP find their way to win. Seeing what such an experienced player brings to his new team every match is exciting.
FaZe vs. Monte
FaZe vs. Monte – Playoffs Round 1 – ESL Pro League 19
Vice-champion of the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, FaZe, against yet to prove themselves a new mix of players, Monte. On top of that, it’s a Playoff Stage, and FaZe is one of the best teams to show a better game whenever it comes to the playoffs; the same thing happened at the PGL Major, where FaZe didn’t look as good, but when they started the Playoff Stage it was completely different looking team that was dropping down one enemy after another. The only team they lost to was Natus Vincere in the Grand Final. It will be a hard match for Monte, and it’s always fun to watch such experienced and skilled players and teams like FaZe.
We will return with our Playoff Round 2 overview after Round 1 ends, and we will also be posting some predictions starting from Playoff Round 2, so stay tuned!
