According to sources with knowledge of the negotiations, BLIX understands that Ukrainian organization NAVI have reached a verbal agreement with NRG’s Ardis “ardiis” Svarenieks to join the roster for the upcoming VCT season. The move would see the 25-year-old Latvian player join as a replacement for Mehmet “cNed” Ä°pek, whom BLIX previously reported was out of the roster.
The move would see ardiis return to the European scene after a ten-month tenure with NRG in VCT Americas. The former FunPlus Phoenix player is highly desired after a second-place finish in the VCT Americas League and a fourth-place finish at VCT 2023 Master Tokyo with NRG.
Should NRG and NAVI agree on terms to sell ardiis to the latter organization, it would see him reunite with his former FPX teammates with whom he enjoyed great success in the 2022 Valorant season, notably winning VCT 2022 Stage 2 Masters in Copenhagen.
As for cNed, while he will no longer be a part of NAVI’s roster moving forward, BLIX understands he would remain on NAVI’s bench, with the Turkish player requiring a buyout from any interested parties.
