BetBoom Team has officially announced a coaching change ahead of the upcoming Dota 2 tournaments, bringing back Anatoly “boolk” Ivanov as head coach while parting ways with Roman “rmN-” Paley. The roster move comes as the team looks to refine its strategic approach and prepare for a packed competitive schedule in early 2026.
BetBoom Team Confirms Coaching Change: Boolk In, rmN- Out
According to a statement from BetBoom, the team decided to experiment with the way it plays. Instead of using Boolk, the squad relied on rmN- as its coach and focused on Save- as the in-game leader and captain. Even though the team has had some success, overall, it has become clear that this is not working. That is the main reason why the squad decided to bring back Boolk as the team’s coach.
Following this announcement, rmN- will most likely try to find a new team to be a part of. The 32-year-old German and Russian player has been a part of the professional Dota 2 scene for years, but he retired from playing in 2024. Aside from coaching BetBoom Team, rmN- was also a part of Team Liquid and Nigma Galaxy. In fact, he even had to play for NGX for a few weeks back in 2024.
As for Boolk, he was an active player for two years only and decided to focus on coaching. Throughout his career, Boolk has been a part of numerous squads, including Gambit and Virtus.Pro, EXTREMUM, and BetBoom Team. He joined the latter in 2022 and has been a key part of its success over the last 3 years.
What’s Next for BetBoom Team After the Coaching Change?
After this important strategic move, BetBoom Team will have to prepare for the upcoming FISSURE Universe: Episode 8. The tournament will begin shortly, and the BB Team is among the main favorites, so we’ll keep a close eye on their performance.
