Fans of the French CS2 powerhouse 3DMAX could be in for a surprise because it seems like the organization may leave CS2. This comes following the team’s disappointing performance, which did not allow them to attend the IEM Cologne Major.
3DMAX to Leave CS2
According to our information, 3DMAX is on the verge of leaving the professional Counter-Strike 2 scene. This decision may shock a lot of fans, but it seems like the organization is upset by the fact that the roster failed to reach the IEM Cologne Major.
Based on some rumors, 3DMAX will leave its current CS2 roster and the latter will become a part of Heretics, the Spanish organization. In fact, it seems like the latter has been discussing this possibility for a while now. Having said that, the negotiations ultimately fell through, so we won’t be seeing the squad under a Spanish flag.
The most recent rumors state that 3DMAX’s roster will move to another French organization. There’s no information about which is the new organization, or when the transfer will take place, so we’ll make sure to follow everything and let you know as soon as possible.
3DMAX’s Results in 2026
It’s safe to say that 2026 has not been the best year for 3DMAX. The squad started with an extremely disappointing performance at the BLAST Bounty Winter 2026: Closed Qualifiers. It also failed to impress at IEM Krakow 2026, where it finished 9th-12th.
In fact, the most impressive result for 3DMAX in 2026 was the 3rd place at the Parken Challenger Champion #3. Needless to say, fans were not thrilled with this result either, considering that it was a Tier 3 competition.
3DMAX also played at the PGL Bucharest 2026, where they finished 4th, and then at IEM Rio 2026. It seems like this was one of the final nails in the coffin for the team because it finished in 9th-12th place.
After failing to secure a slot for the IEM Cologne Major, the organization decided that enough is enough. We will just have to wait to see what’s going to happen in the next couple of days/ weeks.
