The leaks surrounding the new champion come from Big Bad Bear and the League of Legends Leaks & News account on X. Based on these leaks, the champion appears to wield a weapon that looks like a dagger made from anti-magical material.
If Locke is released as expected, he will become the 16th champion from Demacia, bringing the total League of Legends roster to over 172 champions. Demacia is an interesting region from the game’s lore, and it is home to several other champions. This includes Garen, Lux, Sylas, Jarvan IV, and Xin Zhao.
Locke Release Date: When Is the New LoL Champion Coming?
Sadly, we do not have any official information about the LoL Locke release date. There is a good chance he will arrive later this year, but we will have to wait and see. Riot already shared some information about the upcoming League of Legends Patch 26.03, and the new champion is not there.
Locke is likely not the only major addition League of Legends will receive this year. Even though Riot already announced that the major in-game changes will arrive in 2027, we believe that we’ll see some of them in 2026.
