DreamLeague Season 28 League Information
DreamLeague Season 28 is among the crown jewels of the ESL Pro Tour and it takes place online. We will see a round-robin Group Stage and a Double Elimination playoffs that will include a $1,000,000 prize pool.
Taking place between February 16 – March 1, the Dota 2 event will feature 16 teams from multiple regions. We will talk more about them in a bit, but as you will see, all of the big names will be there.
Format & Reward Distribution
The Group Stage will take place between February 16 – 19 and will have two single round-robin groups of 8 teams. All series will consist of two games, and once the matches are over, the top 4 teams will advance to Group Stage 2. All of the remaining teams will have to leave the competition.
Speaking of Group Stage 2, it will take place from February 20-28 and feature a single round-robin group of 8 teams. The matches here will be in a best-of-three format and only the top two squads from each group will advance to the Upper Bracket of the playoffs.
The Dota 2 teams that finish 3rd or 4th will advance to the Lower Bracket, while the remaining squads will be eliminated. If you want to watch the Playoffs, you need to tune in between February 28 – March 1. We will see a double-elimination bracket with Bo3 games and a Bo5 Grand Final.
In terms of the prize pool distribution, the $1M prize will be accompanied by a total of 23.090 EPT points.

If we look at what happened at BLAST Slam VI (the last big Dota 2 event before this one), OG and Natus Vincere seem to be in a really good position. The two surprised everyone with their results and it seems like this meta suits them really well. We look forward to seeing them in action once again and believe they have what it takes to win.
Aside from these two, Team Yandex, Team Falcons and Team Liquid are also some of the names we should be aware of. Their most recent results have been stable and remain a constant threat to the rest.
