FURIA defeated Cloud9 3-0 in the Grand Final to win the 2026 Americas Cup, a cross-regional League of Legends event featuring teams from the LCS and CBLOL ecosystems. The Brazilian squad delivered a dominant performance throughout the tournament, defeating Cloud9 twice and finishing the competition without dropping a single map.

With this victory, FURIA secured one of the first notable results of the 2026 LoL season ahead of upcoming international events.

FURIA Wins the 2026 Americas Cup After Dominant Run

In case you missed it, Americas Cup 2026 kicks off TODAY, and features the second and third place teams from both the #LCS and the #CBLOL.

As mentioned, the 2026 Americas Cup featured a total of 4 League of Legends teams – FURIA, Sentinels, RED Canids and Cloud9. Since the competition only had 4 teams, we did not see a Group Stage because it all started with the UB Semifinals.

FURIA faced Cloud9 first, after which it had to play against Sentinels. The CBLOL team had no issues whatsoever and won both matches without dropping a single map. This allowed it to advance to the Grand Final, where it met Cloud9 again.

Speaking of Cloud9, the LCS team was sent to the Lower Bracket early on and it had to defeat its opponents. The match against RED Canids was epic because we saw a deadly 5-game thriller. Following the success, C9 also defeated Sentinels.

Despite securing two consecutive victories and the needed motivation, Cloud9 could not overcome FURIA. The latter secured another clean 3-0 victory and won the 2026 Americas Cup without dropping a single map.

What FURIA’s Americas Cup Victory Means Before First Stand 2026

FURIA’s dominant performance at the 2026 Americas Cup highlights the growing strength of the CBLOL scene against North American competition. The Brazilian squad defeated Cloud9 twice during the event and secured the title without dropping a single map, making them the clear standout team of the tournament.

Although FURIA will not attend the First Stand 2026, the victory provides strong momentum as the team continues its 2026 campaign. If the roster maintains this level of form, FURIA could become one of the key contenders from the Americas heading into MSI 2026.
