Gaimin Gladiators decided to add Fernando “fer” Alvarega, the Brazilian superstar, to its roster. He will help the team at the IEM Cologne Major after the GG removed Joao “felps” Vasconcellos from the organization.
Fer Will Join Gaimin Gladiators for the IEM Cologne Major
The fact that felps won’t be a part of Gaimin Gladiator for the IEM Cologne Major means that fans will get to see fer in action. The Brazilian Counter-Strike legend and two-time Major winner will return to play after being out of the professional scene for a while. In fact, he last played for Imperial back in 2022.
An interesting fact is that fer will be returning to the city where he won his second Major. Cologne was the place where he, alongside SK, lifted the big trophy all those years ago. Now that Gaimin Gladiators secured their spot after getting enough VRS points, he will try to help the organization achieve its dreams.
GG was quick to address fer’s addition to the squad by saying that he retired as a legend. The organization also said that he is “returning to competitive CS, and he is doing it as a Gladiator”.
Here’s Gaimin Gladiator’s roster after the changes:
- Jhonatan “JOTA” Willian
- Gabriel “NEKIZ” Schenato
- Henrique “HEN1” Teles
- Luca “Luken” Nadotti
- Fernando “fer” Alvarenga
