It seems like karrigan’s time at FaZe is over because the legendary player will make a move to Falcons, according to some sources. This may come as no surprise to some, especially after the disastrous performance during the IEM Cologne qualifiers.
Karrigan Joining Falcons
Credible sources show that Finn “karrigan” Andersen is really close to making a move to Falcons. The player’s addition to the team should be officially revealed following the end of IEM Rio.
Assuming the transfer takes place, karrigan will fill in the solace left by Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski. The latter was a part of the Falcons for around one and a half years and was the team’s captain.
As mentioned earlier, the news about karrigan’s potential move comes just a few weeks after FaZe’s attempt to qualify for the IEM Cologne Major. Despite the expectations, the team crumbled and missed out on one of the most prestigious events. FaZe was unable to do well during the DraculaN Season 6 and HLC Belgrade Pro and this left it without a slot for the big competition.
Following FaZe’s elimination from the PGL Bucharest, karrigan said that he has to “consider where he is”, which means that he is considering a move. Since the team also failed to qualify for IEM Cologne, it was not surprising that karrigan decided to join another team.
Karrigan’s Future at Falcons
Assuming the transfer takes place, karrigan will become Falcon’s first new addition after the team added Maksim “kyousuke” Lukin last June. That change did not seem to help the squad a lot because it failed to secure big tournaments. However, karrigan’s arrival should definitely put it in a really good position because he will reunite with Nikola “NiKo” Kovac. The two played together at FaZe more than seven years ago. He will also be alongside Danny “zonic” Sorensen, who is the team’s coach.
Falcons will have to play the PGL Astana and CS Asia Championship before it is time for IEM Rio. As for FaZe, the team will have just a few weeks to decide who will fill in karrigan’s role.
