The BC.Game Masters Championship #2 was among the most anticipated CS2 tournaments this May, and it finally came to an end. After a fierce battle, Wildcard managed to defeat everyone and secured the important trophy.
Wildcard Won the BC.Game Masters Championship #2
It’s safe to say that Wildcard was one of the favorites for the BC.Game Masters Championship #2 all along. The team did not have to compete in the Group Stage because it had a reserve slot for the Playoffs.
The first challenge ahead of the NA powerhouse was IC Esports, and the match was definitely more interesting than many people expected. In fact, IC even won Dust 2, so Wildcard had to step up their game. Fortunately, the team had no issues in the next two maps and eliminated their opponents.
Following the success, the American squad had to face Acend. This match was also close, but in the end, Wildcard won Inferno and Dust 2 and advanced to the tournament’s Upper Bracket Final.
Speaking of the devil, Wildcard had to play against FOKUS here. Most CS2 fans expected this match to be very close and see three full maps, but this never happened. Wildcard was a step above its opponent and ripped through FOCUS in game 1. The second map (Dust 2) was more intense, but Wildcard ultimately secured the victory.
Lastly, we have the Grand Final, which was a replay of the UB Final. After the loss, FOKUS met with IC Esports and won the map, allowing it to secure a Grand Final spot.
The clash started with a victory for Wildcard at Inferno, but FOKUS quickly bounced back in the series after winning Dust II. It seems like this map is problematic for the NA powerhouse because they have lost several times on it.
The last map at the BC.Game Masters Championship #2 was Nuke, and Wildard completely dominated here. The team defeated their opponents 13-6 and won $30,000 from the prize pool.
It will be interesting to see what happens with Wildcard next, so make sure to follow us for more information.
