Match Overview
The second quarter-final of BLAST World Final 2024 will be the European team FaZe, which will face off against CIS-based Team Spirit. These two teams should know each other pretty well since they met a lot of times this year. The last time these two met each other, Team Spirit won with a score of 2-0. Now, it is FaZe’s chance to turn this around, and they should be extra motivated because they want to prove to everyone that they can be back at the top level.

Current Team and Players Form
FaZe
This team’s form has been questionable for a long time already, and they’re yet to prove that they can do it consistently on a top level. Here at BLAST, they started with a loss against MOUZ with a 0-2 score, and then they surprisingly took down the best team in the world, Natus Vincere, with a 2-1 score, even after losing the first map in the series. Everyone knows that FaZe in the Playoff Stage get extra power usually, and they’re experienced with it. ‘ropz’ was leading the scoreboards in the game against Natus Vincere, and it is a very good sign since he is the one who wasn’t delivering enough recently and he is the guy who is able to carry the team almost solo handily.
Spirit
Same thing about the questionable form we could say about Spirit. Since IEM Katowice, they couldn’t win anything significant and didn’t show good results against top teams, so they have to be motivated to prove themselves on the top stage once again. Here at BLAST, they won their opening match against Vitality with a 2-0 score but then lost with a 0-2 score against G2, and since Vitality playing with a stand-in, it might be the only reason Spirit won and doesn’t prove that they’re back at the top.

Match Prediction
This is a hard one to predict, but considering that FaZe has better odds to win and both teams are questionable, FaZe is still much more experienced when it comes to big stages like this one, which is a slight advantage for FaZe. We expect FaZe to win this match.
Can FaZe take their revenge for the last time they met, or will it be Spirit to put down FaZe again? We will have to see it this Friday at 12:30 CET!
