Another “life or death” series that Dota 2 fans will have access to is the Shopify Rebellion vs AVULUS match. Both of these teams did not impress us with their results so far, but this series is extremely important. Some people are probably not surprised that Shopify Rebellion lost both of its matches. The North American squad is not performing that well, and it had the bad luck of meeting BetBoom Team and Tundra Esports. 

AVULUS, on the other hand, was one of the hidden favorites for the FISSURE PLAYGROUND Belgrade 2025. Unfortunately, Akbar “SoNNeikO” Butaev and his teammates were unable to deal with Liquid and Team Falcons. Consequently, they need to fight for their survival.

Since both Dota 2 teams have 2 losses, losing this match means they will be eliminated. We expect to see loads of action, so don’t forget to watch the match on January 25 at 19:30 EET.

Results & Statistics

Since AVULUS is a relatively new name in the professional Dota 2 scene, the team only met Shopify Rebellion once. The clash between the two took place at ESL One Bangkok 2024, and it ended in a draw. With that said, people who remember the match know that AVULUS was definitely the better team.

After analyzing both teams’ results prior to the AVULUS vs. Shopify Rebellion clash, we believe that AVULUS will win. Overall, the Eastern European squad has more experienced players who know what to do in these situations. SoNNeiKo can definitely pull a rabbit out of his hat and surprise SR with an interesting draft.

Although we think AVULUS will be the winner, we also believe that Shopify Rebellion will not go down without a fight. Since losing this series almost certainly means elimination, the NA squad will do everything in its power to not let it happen. 

All in all, we expect the match to be epic because both teams will give everything they have. 

Which Players To Follow Up Close?

After analyzing Shopify Rebellion’s matches so far, we can see that Mark “mangekyou” Kharlamov is the player who performs better than the rest. After recently hitting 16,000 MMR, the 19-year-old offlaner is playing really well and is definitely a name to pay close attention to.

AVULUS also has one player who’s outperforming the rest, and his name is Aliaksei “Smiling Knight” Svirydau. The 23-year-old carry from Belarus did well in both matches so far, but he was unable to carry his team to victory.
