BLAST Premier: Spring Groups with Adam "NEOFRAG" Zouhar

Hugo “TheSwedishJoker” Nilsson Meier, BLIX.GG: Congratulations on your first win here at BLAST. 2-0 over Team Liquid. Can you talk to me a little bit about Ancient and what helped you guys win on that map so comfortably?

Adam "NEOFRAG" Zouhar: I think we are pretty confident on this map. We practiced it, and I think we know the meta. We have had good preparation; basically every round, we know what we should do and the reactions we know. So, I think in Ancient we knew what we were doing.

BLIX: The second map was Nuke; it was a very close affair going into double overtime. Why do you think that it was so close in the end?

NEOFRAG: I think we already had it in our heads that we won, and maybe that's the reason the game became so close. We practiced a little bit of Nuke because we knew we were going to face Liquid. I think, at one point, I thought that we had won the game. I need to ensure that doesn’t happen again because I fucked up some rounds.

BLIX: You’ve been with the team for around six months now. Do you feel like you've been able to adapt pretty well to the new atmosphere?

NEOFRAG: Yeah, I think I adapt pretty well. The beginning was hard for me because I didn't like to play for opening frags incentives, and it was hard for me. Now, after like six months, we changed it, and now I'm going to play the role that I'm comfortable with, and so I think it's going to be good.

BLIX: Anubis was added to the map pool pretty recently. Have you been able to play it in practice yet?

NEOFRAG: Yeah, we're actually practicing Anubis. We know the meta, and I think we are confident on this map.

BLIX: Do you feel like it has the potential to be a good map for riflers like you?

NEOFRAG: Yeah, I would say that it's a good rifle map.

BLIX: Have you been able to notice anything that you would like to change on the map after practicing on it?

NEOFRAG: I would change maybe A-site. It's hard for the CTs to hold A-site, I would say. As it is right now, the execute on this site is easy; you can smoke heaven, the left side connector, throw two mollies, and two flashes and this site is easy to take. So, I would change something on A.
