BLAST Showdown 2024 Day 3: Overview and Predictions
Day 3 of the BLAST Showdown will bring us three matches and stories.
Is it going to be Spirit, and d0nk keep dominating his own and his team’s way to the top? Which of the two inconsistent teams, GamerLegion and BIG, will take advantage of the next stage? Will Cloud9 be able to keep fighting without a main sniper in their team? We must see all that on BLAST Day 3; don’t miss the action!

- GamerLegion vs. BIG starting at 18:00 CET

Spirit vs. Elevate

Spirit might be in their best shape now, and ‘d0nk’ is another level player who can solo-handily win a game; on top of that, his team makes everything for him feel good and lets him play however he wants.
Elevate is a young, inexperienced team who didn’t have any chance to show themselves against world teams, and now it’s some debut for them, but unfortunately, they got to play against one of the strongest teams, if not the best, at this tournament.
Based on everything, like team results and players and experience, everything goes for Spirit, and Spirit should have no problem winning this match.
GamerLegion vs. BIG

Both teams will miss the PGL Major coming soon; this tournament is their chance to show themselves again.
GamerLegion is struggling to find consistency, but they still have what it takes to surprise us with a good result against top teams sometimes. They’re the dark horse at every tournament they play.
BIG is the same team that can surprise, but other than that, they didn’t have any good results and have yet to find their ground. Let’s hope experience and time will help them to see because some of their games against top teams show us they can win rounds and maps, but something still needs to be added.
Based on everything, picking a winner of this match is some coin toss. Bookmakers are giving us about 50-50 odds for this match. But based on both teams’ recent results, it’s still a slight, like a 5% advantage towards GamerLegion. If we had to pick a winner here and take the risk, it would be GamerLegion to win this match.
Cloud9 vs. SAW

Cloud9 still keeps playing without a main sniper in a team, and this tournament is another chance for them to show that they can win without one of the crucial roles in this game. They’re in perfect shape right now, and even without a sniper, they managed to win against one of the best world snipers and Team Vitality with a 2-1 score recently. SAW is still a young team, but they’re looking promising lately. They got their spot at PGL Major through the qualifiers, which was surprising for many people, and they started well with a win against a more experienced team, Liquid, at this tournament.
Both teams are in good shape, but Cloud9 has much more experience. Cloud9 should win this match.
