Falcons have made the decision to bench Marco ’Snappi’ Pfeiffer, Peter ‘dupreeh’ Rasmussen, and Pavle ’Maden’ Bošković effective immediately. This choice was made shortly after the team’s unsatisfactory 1-3 performance at the Europe RMR.
Falcons organization has officially announced that they will not be extending the loan deal for Oleksandr ’s1mple’ Kostyliev, the renowned Ukrainian esports superstar. This confirmation aligns with s1mple’s earlier statement, where he expressed that he would not be transferring to the Saudi-based organization.
The announcement signifies the beginning of another restructuring for the Falcons, who sidelined four players at the conclusion of 2023 and replaced them with the former ENCE lineup consisting of ’Snappi’, Álvaro ’SunPayus’ García, and ‘Maden’, along with Emil ‘Magisk’ Reif from Vitality.
The squad, led by five-time Major champion Danny ‘zonic’ Sørensen, had difficulty living up to expectations. Only two months into 2024, issues arose when Mohammad ’BOROS’ Malhas, the final member of the former roster, was placed on the bench after an unsuccessful qualifying attempt for the PGL Copenhagen Major.
Falcons ultimately chose to sign ‘dupreeh’ to fill the open position after acquiring ‘s1mple’ on a short-term loan from Natus Vincere. However, despite the 31-year-old’s experience and reputation, the team still struggled with firepower.
This became particularly clear as ‘dupreeh’ found it challenging to make the significant impact he was recognized for, even in the latter part of his time with Vitality.
As results kept declining, the pressure increased, prompting the Falcons to make changes once more by swapping out ‘SunPayus’ for ‘s1mple’ to revitalize the team ahead of the RMR. In Shanghai, however, the squad failed to advance to the qualification rounds of the tournament, suffering defeats against FaZe, SAW, and GamerLegion.
The organization from Saudi Arabia has allegedly come to an agreement with Nikola ’NiKo’ Kovač to join at the conclusion of the current season. Last month, Alban Dechelotte, G2’s CEO, nearly confirmed that the Bosnian player would be leaving the team.
