G2 And OG Finalize Their Rosters For 2022 Season

With teams making final adjustments to their lineups as the 2022 season nears ever closer, both G2 Esports and OG Esports have announced the departure of their longstanding In-Game Leaders of Nemanja “nexa” Isaković and Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen. Neither of these moves came as a surprise as a swap-deal between the two organisations had been rumoured for months as G2 Esports have been undergoing a complete overhaul of their Counter-Strike division with their final roster being announced this afternoon.

Akin to Ilya “⁠m0NESY⁠” Osipov, the addition of Aleksib is seemingly a big gamble for the Spanish organisation as the Finn is yet to hoist a trophy when leading an international team. Aiding his development will be ex-Vitality coach Remy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam, who along with the retainment of Audric “JACKZ” Jug rounds out G2’s squad for this calendar year.

In 2022, their roster will look like –

The acquisition of nexa for OG Esports has ended a four-year long partnership between himself and Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač which saw the two reach a major final towards the latter end of 2021. The departure of Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen will leave many fans of OG disheartened, but in his wake he has left his imprint on their Counter-Strike team which will hopefully continue to flourish under new leadership. Upon arriving at the team, nexa will be accompanied by new arrival Alexander “kakafu” Szymanczyk who will be taking the role of assistant-coach and attempting to propel OG to success heading into the future.
