Casper “cadiaN” Møller, the in-game leader of Heroic’s Counter-Strike squad, has stepped down from the active roster.
The 28-year-old athlete interrupted his joint performance with the team after more than a 4-year tenure with a one-month-exception in 2020 when the roster was almost sold to Fun Plus Phoneix.
According to the Heroic’s statement, it was a mutual decision between the player and the organization.
In 2023, Heroic with cadiaN as IGL, won BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2023 and ranked second at Intel Extreme Masters ‘ in Katowice and in Rio de Janeiro. They also were in the top four at the last CS:GO Major in Paris. Since 2019, has cadiaN led the team to victory in S-C-tier tournaments seven times.
“Heroic has been my home for the last 4 years. Those 4 years have not just been career defining, but life changing for me. Big trophies, multiple stints as world number 1, a few clutches here and there, plus many great friendships. Looking back I feel gratitude, pride and I’m leaving with a smile on my face. I want to thank the organization for putting their trust in me throughout my time here. Looking ahead, my time has come for new adventures, and I am feeling very confident about my future,” – cadiaN commented on leaving the team on Twitter.
