Samet ‘jottAAA’ Köklü has taken the place of Buğra ‘Calyx’ Arkın on the roster of Eternal Fire as they head into the 2025 season, the Turkish organization declared on Thursday.
The 22-year-old returns to the organization he played for from 2022 to 2024 as a member of their academy team. Last March, he was sent on loan to Sangal to further his development and ended up making a strong impression in lower-level play, achieving an average rating of 1.12 in 2024, as well as in their only major event appearance at ESL Pro League Season 20.
‘Calyx’ makes room for a younger player after serving for three years, during which time Eternal Fire transitioned from being a borderline top-20 team to achieving significant success in 2024 with a playoff run at PGL Major Copenhagen and a second-place finish at ESL Pro League Season 20. The 26-year-old will continue to be a part of the organization while he looks into opportunities.
Eternal Fire is set to make its debut with ‘jottAAA’ on the roster in under two weeks. The squad is scheduled to take part in BLAST Bounty Season 1, which will kick off with a 32-team online segment on January 14, followed by the top eight teams making their way to Copenhagen for the finals.
At present, the team holds the 14th position in Valve’s Global standings and is assured a spot in IEM Katowice, which starts with the Play-in stage on January 29.
