This milestone took place during the match between Natus Vincere and G2 Esports – a rematch of the PGL Stockholm Finals. This marks the sixth time a CS:GO Major peaked at over 1 million views.
The previous CS:GO Major, PGL Major Stockholm 2021, peaked at 2,748,434 viewers during the grand final between Natus Vincere and G2 Esports. At the start of the first day of the Legends Stage, the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 peaked at 1,035,477 viewers.
The first time a CS:GO Major tournament peaked at over 1 million viewers was at the ELEAGUE Major Atlanta 2017, which peaked at 1,331,781 viewers, then after that was another Major hosted by ELEAGUE. That time it was the ELEAGUE Major Boston 2018, which peaked at 1,329,096 viewers, and in the same year, the FACEIT Major London 2018 peaked at 1,086,946 viewers. Moving on to the year after, in 2019, the IEM Katowice Major 2019 peaked at 1,205,103 viewers, and then it was the PGL Major Stockholm 2021, which as previously stated, peaked at 2,748,434 viewers.
