Cases in Counter-Strike 2 appeared twelve years ago and have become very popular in the player community since then. Some people don’t use this feature, while others open more cases, hoping to find something worthwhile.
Special sites have even been created for this during this time. Read the article “Best Sites For Case Open in CS2.”
The Blix team has specially researched all the cases. We are ready to tell you which are the most profitable to open in 2025 and what you can find in these cases.

The last update to CS2 was quite a while ago, but who knows, maybe this lull means something big is coming soon:
Best CS2 Cases to Open in 2025
The Blix team has labored and created for you a selection of the eight best and most profitable cases to open in 2025:
- Gallery Case
- Operation Vanguard Weapon Case
- Kilowatt Case
- Snakebite Case
- Prisma Case
- Operation Broken Fang Case
- Fracture Case
- Revolution Case

Gallery Case
- Price: ~$0.75
- Release date: October 2, 2024
- Best skins: Kukri Knife (13 skin options including Fade, Case Hardened), M4A1-S | Vaporwave, Glock-18 | Gold Toof, AK-47 | The Outsiders
Gallery Case is one of the cheapest cases – its price does not exceed 1 dollar. Although you can indeed find higher prices, why do you need it? The case contains 17 skins and a Kukri knife as a rare drop. We wrote about this knife in the article: How to play with the new CS2 Kukri knife.
Among the skins in the case are M4A1-S Vaporwave and Glock-18 Gold Toof, which can be especially valuable and exceed 100 dollars.
But this is not even the reason to buy the case: the main advantage of Gallery Case is a high chance of getting skin, which will be more expensive than the cost of the case and the key together. According to statistics, about every tenth open Gallery Case brings a drop worth $3.5 or more—and these are excellent odds by CS2 standards!
Operation Vanguard Weapon Case
- Price: ~$3.49
- Release date: November 11, 2014
- Best skins: AK-47 | Wasteland Rebel, P2000 | Fire Elemental, P250 | Cartel, M4A1-S | Basilisk
This is an ancient case, and there are only a few thousand unopened cases at the moment, so it is considered rare. Although compared to the Gallery Case, the chance of paying off here is lower—it’s no more than 8-10%—nevertheless, what is contained in the case will be worthy of your attention.
There’s the pricey AK-47 Wasteland Rebel, which costs $220. You can also find cool knives like Karambit | Fade or Case Hardened and M9 Bayonet | Fade.
Kilowatt Case
- Price: ~$0.72
- Release date: February 7, 2024
- Best skins: Kukri Knife | Case Hardened, Zeus | Olympus, AWP | Chrome Cannon, M4A1-S | Black Lotus
In this case, skins are rare and valuable due to their limited availability, which results in high market prices.
The Kilowatt case will especially appeal to fans of electrified design and modern aesthetics. The AWP | Chrome Cannon skin is especially valuable in the community. For example, the case can be obtained for less than a dollar on CS.MONEY gives a considerable likelihood of payback.
We wrote a review when the case first came out; you can read it here: The New Kilowatt Case Review in CS2.
Snakebite Case
- Price: ~$0.33
- Release date: May 3, 2021
- Best skins: M4A4 | In Living Color, AK-47 | Slate, Specialist Gloves | Marble Fade
This is one of the cheapest cases in the game, with the same set of rare items as the Recoil case. You can find skins such as the AK-47 | Slate, MP9 | Food Chain, and Galil AR | Chromatic Aberration here.
There’s also a great pair of Snakebite Case Gloves, but the chance of dropping them is extremely low. However, you will only pay off this case in one case out of sixteen, which is about 6%.
Prisma Case
- Price: ~$1.11
- Release date: March 13, 2019
- Best skins: M4A4 | The Emperor, AWP | Atheris, Five-SeveN | Angry Mob, Talon Knife | Doppler Ruby (Sapphire and Black Pearl)
The Prisma Case continues to be a popular choice among CS2 players due to its vibrant selection of skins. This case stands out because of the constant demand for its contents, especially in the lower to mid-price range.
You can find the AWP Atheris in it, and while it won’t make you much profit, it’s the perfect skin for your CS2 gear.
From this case, you can drop four knives, such as the Ursus and Talon knives, in Tiger Tooth, Marble Fade, and Doppler skins, along with expensive Ruby, Sapphire, and Black Pearl samples.
Operation Broken Fang Case
- Price: ~$6.12
- Release date: December 3, 2020
- Best skins: Five-SeveN | Fairy Tale, M4A4 | Cyber Security, Glock-18 | Neo-Noir, Gloves, M4A1-S | Printstream
Since its release in December 2020, the Operation Broken Fang case has gained significant popularity among players. Players argue among themselves about how profitable it is to invest in it, but let’s face it: it is a low-risk case with a small amount on the market, and it contains popular skins and expensive gloves. Therefore, it is a good investment.
You can find the M4A1-S | Printstream case and win one of 24 pairs of gloves here. And that would be a huge deal.
Fracture Case
- Price: ~$0.38
- Release date: August 6, 2020
- Best skins: Desert Eagle | Printstream, AK-47 | Legion of Anubis, Glock-18 | Vogue, M4A4 | Tooth Fairy, Skeleton Knife | Fade
The case price is now moving upwards because there is a high probability that this is the next case to be discontinued in CS2. Why. It’s simple: it’s the oldest active case to date and has lower decompression rates than others. This is why investors conclude that this case will soon be gone.
You can get a lot of cool skins from this case that are in demand in the CS2 community.
Revolution Case
- Price: ~$0.49
- Release date: February 9, 2023
- Best skins: Sport Gloves | Vice, Specialist Gloves | Fade, M4A4 | Temukau, M4A1-S | Emphorosaur-S
Revolution Case belongs to the relatively recent ones – it was added to the game in February 2023. Among the most valuable items in its contents are such designs as M4A4 Temukau and AK-47 Head Shot. Many skins are decorated with contrasting combinations and neon ornaments, such as the UMP-45 Wild Child.
If you’re an anime fan, you’ll be drawn to the M4A4 | Temukau, Glock-18 | Umbral Rabbit, or MAC-10 | Sakkaku. We also have an article about the best anime skins: Best Anime CS2 Skins & Stickers for 2025 – Must-Have Designs!
Is it Worth it to Open Cases?
We hope you won’t be too upset, but we have to tell you that absolutely all cases in CS2 are unprofitable to open. Even in the best case, you get back only 80 cents with each spent dollar, and more often – even less. Many players advise you to buy a skin you like and not waste time and money on opening cases.
However, many people are excited and enjoy opening, so if you’re among them, take advantage of our selection.
But if you want to get the same emotions but not invest money, there is a new Lucky Vault feature on the xplay.gg platform. You can open cases without investment and see the drop percentage of this or that skin. On 20, 30, and 50 attempts, you are guaranteed to get cool skin from the Collection.
Conclusion
Opening cases in CS2 has turned into gambling roulette over the years. It can be fun but economically unprofitable. If you want to replenish your inventory or buy a knife for CS2 profitably, it’s better to do it through Steam or some site like CS.MONEY. But you can continue to try your luck in cases – to each his own.
