Howl

The M4A4 Howl is an exorbitantly expensive skin considered a treasure in CS2 and the only contraband weapon in the game. The conflict concerns the skin’s authorship and the Howling Dawn sticker. In March 2014, a user posted his artwork in the Steam Workshop. Valve liked the skin very much, and in May, it appeared as part of the Huntsman Weapon Case.
On June 12, the real author of the image used in the skin and sticker filed a copyright lawsuit. And then Howl became contraband. The rifle’s design was changed: the original “Howl” skin was removed from CS:GO, and in players’ inventories, it was replaced by an updated version of the gun with a picture that did not violate copyright.
Now, the price of the skin can reach 10 thousand dollars and above, and for StatTrak, more than 15 thousand. Nevertheless, players still love and appreciate this skin, considering it a work of art.
