Armenia-based esports organization, Virtus.pro, announced their decision to withdraw their CS:GO roster from Intel Extreme Masters Dallas 2023 due to visa issues.
“Unfortunately, some of our players were not able to obtain visas to the USA, despite the assistance from ESL. We consider participation in such a large-scale tournament with stand-ins to be inappropriate,” noted the Virtus.pro statement.
This is the second IEM tournament Virtus.pro will skip this year. Earlier they passed IEM Rio 2023 for other reasons. Just prior to that, Virtus.pro’s squad put on an extremely poor performance at the BLAST.tv Paris Major Europe RMR A.
Virtus.pro CS:GO team is now:
- Aleksei “Qikert” Golubev
- Dzhami “Jame” Ali (IGL)
- Evgeniy “FL1T” Lebedev
- Petr “fame” Bolyshev
- Dastan “dastan” Aqbaev (coach)
