WePlay Esports has decided to postpone WePlay Academy League Season 6 due to a massive rocket attack from Russia to Ukraine.
“Our entire country woke up to a massive missile attack by the Russian Federation. Sirens and explosions are heard in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Dnipro, and a dozen other cities in Ukraine. Some areas have the electricity supply cut off. Dozens of dead and hundreds of wounded were already reported. Due to this, we are forced to postpone the start of WAL Season 6. Our main value is our employeesâ safety, and we cannot expose them to additional risk. The first stage of the WePlay Academy League Season 6 was to be held on October 10-30 and the playoffs were scheduled for November 8-20.
Early in the morning of October 10, the Russian military launched a massive attack on Ukrainian energy, military and other facilities. As a result of the attack, dozens of people were killed and the power supply and communications of the entire country were disrupted. On the morning of October 11, Russia again launched a missile attack, including on one of the large power plants. However, the intensity was much less than the day before.
