Talon Esports Parts Ways with 23savage

Talon Esports announced that 23savage will depart from the team’s roster. Most people are probably not surprised because the player could not help the team qualify or perform well in the TI 2025 qualifiers and the Dota 2 Esports World Cup 2025.

23savage Parts Ways with Talon Esports

    The TA-LOAN era ends here.

After the end of our EWC run, our loan of @23savageDotA from @OGesports has expired.

We would like to thank Nueng for helping us run back SEA to a podium finish at an international event, and we wish him the best. 🫡#SOARWITHTALON #Dota2 pic.twitter.com/EXccpire2C

Fans of the Southeast Asian Dota 2 powerhouse will be sad to hear that Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon will part ways with Talon Esports. This decision comes a couple of days after the team’s disappointing performance. That said, it is not be directly related to them because the player was on loan from OG.

Talon Esports was the biggest favorite in Southeast Asia because it established itself as the leading team in the region. Despite that, it was unable to qualify for The International 2025. In fact, this was the first team Talon missed out on TI after it started competing in Dota 2.

Despite being among the favorites, the team was unable to defeat Team Nemesis in the Upper Bracket final. After that, it also lost the clash against BOOM Esports, which was the last nail in the coffin.

It’s also worth noting that Talon did not live up to the expectations at the Dota 2 Esports World Cup 2025. Despite having high hopes, the SEA squad did not make it out of the Elimination Phase. No one expected these results because the team did really well at DreamLeague Season 26.

What’s Next for Talon and 23savage?

Now that 23savage is no longer a part of Talon Esports, the squad only has 4 players remaining:

    • Rafli Farthur “Mikoto” Rahman
    • Chung “Ws” Wei Shen
    • Tri “Jhocam” Kuncoro
    • Carlo “KuKu” Palad

We still have no information in terms of whether Talon will remain with its current squad. An interesting fact is that 23savage departs Talon for the second time after playing for the organization in 2022.

Speaking of the player, he remains one of the best carries in the region. The Thai superstar decided to move to Western Europe and join OG in 2024, but the move did not help him or his new team.

OG’s results have been disappointing, to say the least. The team failed to qualify for FISSURE Universe: Episode 6 and will most likely go through a massive roster change yet again. It will be interesting to see if 23savage will remain a part of the new team.
