Old-school Dota 2 players remember that the Battle Pass was one of the most exciting things about our favorite game. Even though Valve decided to “kill it” around two years ago, according to TeaGuvnor, we may get The International 2025 Battle Pass. Here is everything we know so far.

The Information we Have
As mentioned, Valve decided to stop focusing on the Battle Pass more than two years ago, and it’s safe to say fans were disappointed. Most are far from happy with the company’s decision because the Battle Pass gave them access to tons of amazing items. Moreover, this cosmetic item allowed TI’s prize pool to reach jaw-dropping numbers. Needless to say, this is not the case anymore.
Last year, Valve decided to focus on the popular Crownfall event, and the community loved it. Despite its popularity, it was just not an Esports-focused competition, so some people believe we may see a Battle Pass for this year’s The International.
According to Robson “TeaGuvnor” Merritt, Valve might be cooking something up. In his post on X, he said that he has “smelled something for the first time in 2 years”, and that he hopes it is returning and not a one-off.
Dota 2 Battle Pass 2025 Leaks – Can we Trust Them?
Alongside TeaGuvnor’s post, there were also some leaks on Reddit about a supposed 2025 Battle Pass. In the screenshot that you can see above, we can see a player whose nickname is in the Cyrillic alphabet and who has an active Battle Pass. You can also see an arcana for Broodmother and Terrmorblade, as well as many different surprises.
Although this screenshot looks legit, most people believe that it is fake. According to some users, the fact that we can see the Arcanas there gives it away because Valve is famous for offering this item at a later stage (usually near the end or after the end of TI).
Another leak is from a few weeks ago, involving Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov. He is famous for “predicting”a lot of things in the last couple of years, but this time, he was wrong. According to the trusted figure, we should have gotten the Battle Pass on June 19, but this did not happen.
So, What’s Next?
Unfortunately, neither of the leaks has been confirmed yet, so we and the Dota 2 community do not know whether The International 2025 Battle Pass will be a thing.
If you browse Dota 2’s subreddit, you will find many posts about the Battle Pass. It seems like people are active on purpose because they know that Valve can often crack under pressure and eventually give people what they want.
We will have to wait and see whether this happens, but if it does, we hope the item will become available soon. We are already in July, and The International 2025 will take place just two months from now, meaning we do not have that much time left.
