South American esports organization Thunder Awaken has disbanded its Dota 2 roster.
“Today we want to announce the departure of our team. As an organization we are proud to have competed at a high level in TI11, consolidating a Top 6 and also in other international tournaments such as Stockholm Major and ESL Malaysia. Thank you very much Pakazs, DarkMago, Sacred, Matthew, PandaDota and Vintage for representing Peru and the organization. We are very happy to share these achievements and we express our best wishes for your next challenges,” said Thunder Awaken’s CEO Eduardo Ku Bustios.
Two of ex-Thunder Awaken players, Herrera “DarkMago” Gonzalo and Rafael “Sacred” Yonatan, have already moved to the new Beastcoast Dota 2 team.
According to a report by esports journalist Kenny Utama, Crhistian “Pakazs” Casanova, Farith “Matthew” Huamancaja and Jose “Pandaboo” Hernandez are in negotiations with Evil Geniuses and could join the North American organization.
Thunder Awaken won the DPC SA 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division I and finished Top 6 at The International 2022.
