2025 is here, and we expect it to be a fantastic year for Dota 2 fans all over the world. Although it’s only January 3, we already have some exciting news about one of the leading Dota 2 teams – Tundra Esports.
The New Roster
Tundra Esports has just announced significant roster changes for the 2025 Dota 2 season. It seems like the organization decided to make sure it will be competitive in the new season because it benched Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko. After doing this, the club welcomed two new players:
- Anton “dyranchyo” Shrekov
- Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov
After the changes, Tundra Esports’s Dota 2 roster looks like this:
- Anton “dyrachyo” Shkredov
- Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov
- Neta “33” Shapira
- Martin “Saksa” Sazdov
- Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon
Nightfall’s Short Stay
Although we are not surprised that bzm is joining Tundra Esports, the same can’t be said about dyrachyo. Most people thought that Nightfall would continue to play for the club because he joined it on October 1, 2024. Following this move, Tundra definitely improved its results because it finished 2nd at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade and Blast Slam I.
The bad news for the WEU powerhouse is that it did not achieve anything good in November and December. This is the main reason why Tundra decided to bench Nightfall and give dyrachyo a chance.
It goes without saying, but the ex-Gaimin Gladiator player has made a name for himself as one of the best carries. He had a key role in GG’s success over the last two years because the club won almost everything. Sadly, 2024 wasn’t the best for Gamin Gladuiaotrs, which ultimately led to Dyrachyo’s departure.
Bzm’s role
There are not that many top-tier Dota 2 mid-laners that are as good as bzm. OG’s ex-midder quickly became one of the best in the world a few years ago. Unfortunately, his team hasn’t had any major success in the last 2 years, which is why bzm decided it’s time for a new challenge.
Speaking of the devil, the Bulgarian Dota 2 start departed OG in September. After that, he played with a stack of several other Bulgarian players at OGL Wallachia Season 2.
After failing to achieve any big results, bzm decided it was time to join a top-tier team again, which is why he is now a part of Tundra Esports. What’s interesting is that the player will have to fill in the shoes of none other than Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen. People expected the latter to keep playing, but he decided to retire following the end of TI 2024.
Closing Thoughts
The Tundra Esports roster changes definitely make the team among the scariest opponents in Western Europe. We expect to see them dominate the local and international scenes, but we will have to wait to see what’s going to happen.
