T1's League of Legends star Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok broke the kill record in World Championship history, making over 350 kills.

He removed from the podium the legendary Jian "Uzi" Zihao, whose record lasted four years.

This happened before the fight with Cloud9, which T1 later won. In total, 26-year-old Faker made 357 frags.

Earlier, Faker became the first esports player to reach 100 Riot Games World Championship wins. The current Worlds was the seventh of his career.

Worlds 2022 runs from September 29 to November 5 on LAN in the USA and Mexico. Participants continue to play for the prize pool of $2.225 million.
