The Danish professional player Nicklas "gade" Gade has announced his departure from the Counter-Strike industry.

"2022 is coming to an end and it is time for me to announce my departure from the CS Industry. What a ride and journey it has been; memories I will always have to cherish and be grateful for. Esports has given me friends for life, got me together with my love and has taken me through all states of emotion. Thank you to everyone who has believed in & supported me throughout the years, former teammates, colleagues and opponents. 2023 is the start of my new career in a whole new environment and I couldn’t be more excited for the future," he noted on Twitter.

The 28-year-old athlete left BIG, the last organization he represented, in August this year but decided to finally end his career only on the eve of Christmas.

gade started in 2016 with Team Singularity and for six years, he performed with OpTic Gaming, North, BIG and other teams.

He achieved the greatest success as part of North and together with them, he won a number of online tournaments, as well as DreamHack Open Sevilla 2019. During his career, the Danish esportsman has earned about $120,000 in prize money.
