What’s the Game About?
Wukong starts with an epic in the spirit of the battle with Thor from God of War: Ragnarok. You are the mighty Monkey King, who can turn into a bird, summon clones, and even stop time.
Ahead of you is an army of villains with great magicians, and the battle with them is incredible: the characters pirouette, the operator chooses luxurious angles, and the editing interruptions are minimal. After such a spectacle, you want to throw money at the screen and give it 12 out of 10.
The plot of Black Myth: Wukong is based on the Chinese classic novel Journey to the West. The protagonist, Destined One, has to embark on a dangerous adventure.
The protagonist must collect the relics of the famed monkey king Sun Wukong, imprisoned in stone during his last battle, hidden worldwide. To achieve his goal and uncover the secrets of the great legend, the character will have to face challenges and trials.
On his way, the hero will meet various enemies. He will have to fight a dragon, a giant bear, a huge spider, and other mythical opponents.
The main draw of Wukong is the abundance of bosses. You beat one colossal creature, ran down the path, and the next one jumped out of the sky.
In addition, the combat system is excellent. The protagonist owns a transforming staff and can also use various spells, skills, and equipment.
According to the authors, gamers can develop their character and select specific strategies to win battles. Users are waiting for about 80 bosses and hundreds of weaker enemies.

Media Scandal
Before the release, various Western media reported that the developers of Black Myth: Wukong were particular people. Allegedly, they were evil sexists. Journalists explicitly made it clear that it is unnecessary to financially support such people (as users found out later, the whole “evidence base” was based on incorrectly translated words of the developers).
We will leave the published material at this link. There’s also a Twitter post. But comments are disabled everywhere else.
After the release, some media “quieted down.” For example, IGN quietly published materials about the success of the “terrible” Black Myth Wukong. Players reminded the publication IGN that recently, they released materials about the developers’ sexism and now quietly publish news about them.
The piece’s authors also mention that in 2015, Game Science released some posters for its hiring campaign that allegedly demonstrated “Game Science’s entrenched sexism.” The posters are not presented in the article, nor are there any links to third-party resources where they could be viewed
As we can see, players support the game and continue to buy and play it.
Summary
For $69.99, the game is excellent quality and well worth it. Those with a penchant for RPGs will likely be fans of it. It has enjoyable gameplay, an attractive setting, and stunning graphics.
