Helldivers 2 supports cross-platform play between PC and PS5 platforms. When you partner up with random players to complete missions, you’re brought into the search pool of both Steam and PS5 players. This way, you don’t have to do anything special to enable crossplay.
The feature is automatically enabled from the start. To turn it off, open the Settings menu, then under the Gameplay tab, turn off crossplay.
Unfortunately, cross-saves or cross-progressions between platforms are not available. The developers didn’t implement this feature at launch because they didn’t expect people to be interested.
However, Arrowhead CEO Pilestedt said this feature would likely come soon. But he also added that it’s not a guarantee.

Before you invite your friends to Helldivers 2, add them to your friends list in the game’s “Communication” menu. Pressing R3 on the PS5 quickly accesses this menu.

Follow the instructions on the “Create” button to get a unique 8-digit friend code in Helldivers 2. This code can add anyone to your friend list in the game, regardless of their platform. All you have to do is enter this code into the “Search” option at the top of the social media menu, and it will send you a request to add you as a friend.
