Established by two Polish CS and CS:GO veterans ‘ Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas and Filip “NEO” Kubski ‘ esports organization HONORIS has ceased operations after three years.
At the end of March, the contracts with the players and the coach will be terminated, and each of them will become a free agent.
The main reason for the liquidation of the organization, according to TaZ, is a failure to fulfill goals. The co-founders wanted to enter the top 30 of the HLTV rankings and compete in the biggest tournaments, but their highest ranking was #43.
According to the HONORIS statement, all the organization’s activities were financed by TaZ and NEO but were supplemented by revenues from cooperation with the organization’s partners.
Development plans were also undermined by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“As a result, we had to reorganize our assumptions to focus on securing funds for the functioning of the HONORIS core roster,” says NEO.
“Facing the lack of sufficient financial resources for the coming years, we jointly decided to end HONORIS’ operations in the current formula. Just like three years ago, we were connected by the desire to work together and build something from scratch – now – we want to end our cooperation within HONORIS.” – says TaZ.
HONORIS were:
