The Director General of Information Applications at the Ministry of Communication and Information, Semuel Abrijani Pangerapan announced that Steam, Dota2, and CS:GO have been in the process of completing the registration process in Indonesia, CNN Indonesia reported.
“They have managed to contact us, so now there has been a correspondence between Steam, Dota, and CS:GO. They have stated that they are still processing, hopefully in the near future they will be able to complete it,” said Semuel during the virtual press conference.
“Steam, Dota, and CS we hope they can complete and can be reopened soon. And also people who use this game can immediately use it again,” he added.
Furthermore, Semuel also offered opportunities for any service provider to be part of the digital ecosystem in Indonesia. However, he emphasized that everyone must obey the government’s rules.
Previously, Steam, Dota 2, and CS:GO were blocked by the Ministry of Communication and Information as they had failed to register themselves in the specified timeline.
The blocking of these games was followed by public protests in the country.
