Episode 7 Act 3 is here in Valorant. With the new act, we’re going to see the launch of new content within the game. We have a new skin bundle similar to the launch of previous new Acts. For Act 3, it’s the Orion Bundle. Let’s take a look at all the new skins in the bundle and battle pass and determine whether or not they’re worth the money.
What are the new skins in the EP7 Act 3 Battlepass?
The new battlepass for Episode 7 Act 3 is going to consist of two different skin lines. Previously, we’ve seen Riot include three skin lines within the battlepass. The two unique skinlines are Libretto and Silhouette. Each of the skin lines consists of various guns. The interesting part of the upcoming battlepass is that neither the Phantom nor the Vandal is included. There also isn’t a skin included for both the Sheriff as well as Odin in this battle pass ‘ making it one of the first skin lines to not have skins for the primary rifles in the game. Let’s take a look at each skin line within the upcoming battle pass.
We first have the Libretto skin line. The following guns are included:
- Stinger
- Operator
- Bulldog
- Ghost
Each of the weapon skins has a crimson body with a hint of emerald green which provides a similar look to the previously launched Oni skinline. Each of the weapons has a badge on its body, which looks similar to 3 small leaf buds. It’s worth noting these skins don’t include any unique animation in-game.
The second skin line is Silhouette. The weapons included are:
- Frenzy
- Guardian
- Judge
- Aries
Each of the weapon skins has a golden body with a hint of bronze with various water-themed designs for each gun. The Aries has water drops present within the body, while the Judge has waves on its body. The animal skin present on each is another easter egg within each gun. Starting with the Frenzy, there is a monkey present on the body of the skin. Having a look at the Judge, it is quite tough to find out which animal that is because it could mostly be a tiger or a panther. On the Aries, we get to see a snake on the body of the skin. Finally, on the Guardian, we get to see a horse on the body of the skin. As with the Libretto skin line, none of these skins have any form of unique animation when equipped.
Is the Orion Bundle worth $50?
The Orion Bundle is the first skin line that will be launched within the new act. Within the bundle, the following weapons are available:
- Phantom
- Vandal
- Odin
- Frenzy
- Sword (melee)
The interesting part about this skin line is that we’re seeing Valorant offer skins for a Phantom and a Vandal in the same bundle. Each of the weapon skins individually cost 1250 Valorant Points. The melee within this skin would cost around 2550 Valorant Points. If you want to buy the bundle as a whole, it’s priced at 5100 Valorant Points.
There are a lot of similarities between the new skin line and the game Borderlands, thanks to the animation and drawing style of each of the skins. The skins feel like they have been painted by oil paints and brought into another universe, having primarily a white and violet body. However, due to not having any new animations, there isn’t much individuality with these skins when compared to other battle passes or normal skins in the game. In our opinion, the battle pass skins are worth the money due to their unique easter eggs within the skin, plus the other add-ons one might get in the battle pass. In relation to the Orion Bundle, unless you’re a fan of Borderlands, there isn’t any particular reason to buy it.
