League of Legends Season 2 is slowly approaching, and people finally know a lot of information about it. After the reveal of the Spirit Blossom 2025 cinematic, it became clear that the new update is going live very soon.

However, instead of introducing ground-braking changes, the new update will focus on refining the existing mechanics. Following the news, it became clear that Riot would try to address the problems related to having too many objectives on the map. This may not be an issue for some, but others believe LoL has too many things that players must keep an eye on.

With that said, let’s learn more about the upcoming League of Legends Season 2.

    Contents

    • 1 Map Adjustments
    • 2 Bounty System Changes & new Detection Mechanism
    • 3 Dealing With Cheaters

    Map Adjustments

Based on the information we have, Riot will change several essential things related to the game’s objectives:

    • Void Grubs will spawn a single time only, and they will appear later in the game
    • Ruined Atakhan will be swapped for Thornbound Atakhan, and the rewards will be adjusted so they can fit the Spirit Blossom season.
    • Rift Herald will be much harder to bring down and will spawn in 15 minutes.

The idea behind these specific changes is to ensure that the game is not too focused on snowballing, at least early on. This will give players some opportunity to recover in situations where they are playing from behind.

Alongside that, the red and grey Noxus are gone because players will have access to the Spirit Blossom. The new UI will be based on the season’s theme, so we expect to see many nice-looking things.

Bounty System Changes & new Detection Mechanism

Another new thing that LoL Season 2 will give us access to is bounty changes. The entire system received an update and will now work in a way that will allow the team behind it to bounce back faster. This change is similar to what Valve did in Dota 2 several years ago.

Alongside these changes, League of Legends Season 2 will also introduce a new detection mechanism. Players will also have access to a Smite summoner spell, as well as the World Atlas starter item. This will ensure that all players are following their roles.

    Dealing With Cheaters

Cheaters remain one of League of Legends’ biggest problems, but Riot took drastic actions against them. To stimulate people to report cheaters, Season 2 adds changes that will allow you to see if Riot took action against someone. The feedback is important because it shows players that the company considers their opinions.

The new League of Legends Season should become available on April 30, 2025. Don’t forget to follow us for more information about it.
