Day 2 at the League of Legends Worlds 2025 is over and we saw 8 epic matches. We expected to see some results, but others definitely surprised us, so it’s time for our quick recap.

    CTBC Flying Oyster Defeated T1

T1 vs CFO Highlights BANGER | Worlds 2025 Day 2 Swiss Stage | T1 vs CTBC Flying Oysters

The match between T1 and CTBC Flying Oyster was definitely the highlight of the day after the Day 1 clashes. We expected T1 to do better, but CFO showed their confidence yet again and outplayed their opponents.

One of the reasons for the SEA powerhouse’s success was the unusual pick. The CFO attempted a very unusual draft that definitely caught the Koreans off guard, as they were unsure how to respond. The mid-game was somewhat even, but the CFO completely dominated in the late-game and secured a very important victory against one of the big favorites.

Gen.G Failed to Continue its Streak

GEN vs AL | Day 2 LoL Worlds 2025 Swiss Stage | Gen.G vs Anyone’s Legend full

Gen.G is the big favorite to win Worlds 2025, but it seems like it won’t be easy. Following yesterday’s success, the team made a mistake against Anyone’s Legend. The latter seems to be the big surprise so far because it already shocked everyone by winning against Hanwha Life yesterday.

The match was definitely not one-sided because both did everything they could to win. In the end, the Chinese powerhouse proved to be stronger and continues its impressive streak.

Hanwha Life and Bilibili Gaming Are Back

After losing yesterday’s matches, the Chinese and Korean League of Legends teams are back in action. The Chinese had an impressive victory against Fnatic and put the latter in a difficult spot because it lost two matches so far.

As for the Koreans, Hanwha had to play versus PSG LGD, another team that is in a really difficult position after today. LGD already lost one match, so the second loss means they are 1 step away from elimination.

    Other Results

Aside from these matches, Secret Whales lost against KT Rolster, whereas Top Esports defeated 100 Thieves. Moving to the Low Matches, FlyQuest won against Keyd Stars and G2 defeated KOI.
