Following Riot’s decision to change the rules for the competitive circuit, fans will have access to the 2025 League of The Americas (LTA). The tournament will include teams from LATAM and North America and since it is finally time to watch the LTA 2025 Split 1, let’s learn more about it.

    • 1 LTA 2025 Overview
    • 2 LTA Split 1 – Format
    • 3 The teams in the LTA
    • 4 The Roster Changes

    LTA 2025 Overview

We’d like to start by saying that the LTA will have 16 teams in total. Eight of them are from North, whereas the others are from South. Speaking of the LTA North, the LCS forms it, whereas CBLOL is behind most of the squads in LTA South.

People who want to monitor the LTA need to know that it will have three splits. Once a given split is over, the top teams will advance to the big international events.

Going back to Split 1, the team that wins here will attend the First Stand tournament. The LTA matches will take place in the Riot Games Arena. Interestingly, one of these arenas is in LA, whereas the other is in Sao Paulo.

    LTA Split 1 – Format

Players who follow the LoL professional scene know that the 2025 LTA started on January 18. With that said, the games in Split 1 will begin on January 25 and will end on February 23.

What’s different about the LTA Split 1 is that it will be held in the new format called Fearless Draft. Teams wishing to advance to the next stage have to win two Bo3 series and will go to the playoffs. In the end, only 4 teams will advance to these playoffs.

If we take a look at the LTA South, we will see that it will be the first cross-conference event. The playoffs here will have a Bo5 format, but it will be in a single-elimination bracket. Once one of the teams wins Split 1, it will represent Americas in the First Stand Tournament that will be in March.

Considering that this League of Legends tournament includes the best in North and South America, it’s no surprise there are loads of big teams. The LCS and CBLOL each have 6 partnered teams. In addition, the LLA also has 2 teams, and each conference has a guest team. Here are the LTA North Teams that fans will have access to:

    • Dignitas
    • Team Liquid Honda
    • Lyon Gaming
    • Cloud 9
    • Flyqyest
    • Disguised
    • 100 Thieves
    • Shopify Rebellion

If you want to follow the LTA South teams, you will find the following names:

    • LOUD
    • FURIA
    • Leviathan
    • Fluxo
    • Vivo Keyd Stars
    • Isurus
    • paiN Gaming
    • Red Canids

    The Roster Changes

Prior to the LTA 2025 Split 1, a lot of teams decided to make interesting roster changes. Without going into much detail, some of the roster moves were more interesting than others, and Cloud 9 is a good example. The organization decided to part ways with Joyopyun and Bersker and signed in Zven and Loki.

Overall, the teams here look very strong, so we can’t wait to see them in action. Make sure to follow everything, and don’t forget to visit Blix.gg for the latest League of Legends news.
